Documenting an Important Milestone

Check out this family photo session I did last August in Highland, Utah. These clients found me through the mom’s hair dresser @hairandmakeupbycourtneysmith (who is a literal wizard if you want some help getting ready for your photo session). I was really excited for their session because it would be their first photoshoot with their daughter they had adopted the year before. My brother has gone through the adoption process twice and I’ve had a front row seat to the unbelievably emotional rollercoaster of adoption. When everything is final and settled, it was a privilege to be able to document such an important milestone. The love and sweetness in this family was so apparent, which makes shooting a real pleasure.

This family had also recently bought a home (The dad is a realtor @sellquickerr on Instagram), so they were planning a new gallery wall to boot. I was thrilled when she sent me photos of her giant gallery wall in her new home. Photos are definitely meant to be enjoyed on your walls more than sitting on a digital drive somewhere. Think about the milestones in your life, and how you’d like to document them. You will for sure want to frame those pictures!
