Want to know what my biggest advice is for your family shoot? Don’t fight on the way there so you can all have fun together during your shoot. Family pictures are HIGH stress for Mom who has coordinated schedules, what to wear, and helped her kids get ready if they are young enough. Try not to let it get to you and don’t pick battles with your kids before or on the way there. If you are relaxed and enjoying your family during your shoot, it will show in your images, check out this session. I love how they were having fun together because that’s what we all want to remember through our pictures anyway, right?
This family was mostly young adults, you know what I’m almost always asked to photograph with these ages? Shoes. Not girly shoes or pretty shoes. It’s usually one of the boys that wants a picture in his favorite kicks. Scroll through and you’ll see this kid brought his with and changed into them half way thought the shoot. Also I can’t get through a session with teenagers or young adults without one of them flashing a gang sign. You know, cause there are lots of gangs here in Utah County, lol. I don’t usually include them in the gallery, but once in a while I get a gem like this one that they kids will probably appreciate and hopefully post.
So if your kid’s obsessed with his shoes and fills up with his Insta feed with a few gangsta pics, you’re in good company. Let me take your pictures so you can remember this phase that will be gone before you know it. Click Contact in the menu to book.
