I photographed four weddings in 2020 in spite of the havoc from the pandemic. I honestly felt bad for all the brides having to make constant adjustments based on the latest governor’s orders. It was a tough year to be a bride, among many other things. I will say, though, that this bride enjoyed her day regardless. I hope my daughters have as much fun at their weddings as this bride did at hers! It was a beautifully decorated, casual, backyard setting. But the best part was the dancing. This family danced the night away with the best of them and the bride and groom were ALL smiles. I’m sure there were things that could have stressed them out, like someone forgetting the veil (which happened), or this-that-or-the-other, but they just rolled with it and enjoyed their day with the people they loved. The bride even let her hair down at the end, since she’d been dancing so much. If you are a more casual bride like this, then we’d be a great fit.
This is definitely the hottest wedding I’ve ever attended or worked at. I had to edit out beads of sweat in Photoshop which brought back memories of sweat dripping down my own back as I stood in the bushes to get the best angle. If you are planning a wedding in 100 heat, bring something to dab off the sweat for your pictures. I wish I would have thought of that sooner.
