Here are three things to consider when hiring the right photographer for you on your vacation to Park City, UT….
- Does your photographer deliver the types of images you want (ie portraits vs. candids vs a mix of both). If you want a picture of a big group looking and smiling at the camera, don’t hire a lifestyle photographer that is consistently only showing candids of young, small families – those are two very different skill sets.
- Does your photographer have extensive experience working with similar families to yours. For example, if you have a big group, hire someone that is comfortable directing and posing a big group in a timely manner so everyone looks natural and comfortable. You can even ask to see a full gallery of a family similar to yours.
- Does your photographer have the type of editing style you want. If you want your images to look classic and clean (so the colors look like they do in real life), make sure the images on your photographers’ profile consistently have that classic, clean look, without following the latest fad that will outdate your images in a few years.
It can be a lot of work scheduling a time for family photos, making sure you get what you want out of your session is really important, especially because you all might not be together very often. Follow these three tips and you’ll be likely to love your images!
