Need to have corporate headshots taken? Here’s a couple tips on proper lighting:
When you are taking corporate headshots, you want even light with the whole face lit up and in focus. I can make magic with natural light, a window, and a reflector. Or if I don’t have enough natural light, I use my ProFoto A1 which has some pretty insane capabilities and takes up very little space. I generally don’t have much room to work with at offices, or even in conference rooms, so it’s nice to hire a professional that can:
- Work with flash. Even if it’s nice weather, you never know if your conference room will have enough windows, or if it’ll be a stormy low-light day
- Work with a small space
- Know how to get natural smiles fast. Especially when working with larger groups, it’s so important to use someone that can get a natural smile and professional look in a minute or two

I know it’s so much work getting everyone together and planning company events, and sometimes company members are flying in from all over the country. Re-shooting is not an option, so make sure you hire someone with experience.
