Are you planning a trip to Park City, Utah? Most of my Park City clients are from out of town and want to take a family picture while they have everyone together. If you don’t see your family regularly, of if you’re coming from several different states, it’s a great way to spend an hour during your vacation. Mcpolin Barn is my favorite place to shoot in Park City. There are so many different looks you can get there, whether you want to use the barn or not.
This session was done over Thanksgiving weekend, so they opted for a Christmas-y look. They followed my “What To Wear For Family Pictures” guide and their outfits turned out great. Want a similar look for your Christmas Card? Try this color scheme:
Green, maroon, red, camel brown, denim, navy, gray, and black
And you never know what Park City weather will do, so if your photography session is between November and April, it’s best to plan for it being pretty cold. Wear coats, sweaters, jackets, and boots, and even add cute mittens and hats for little ones. Warm kids (or just kids that aren’t freezing) are happy kids. This shoot was unseasonably warm, some years we would be shooting in a foot of snow at that time. If it’s winter time, it’ll look totally natural to be bundled up. Want more tips on what to wear?
