If you are looking for a neutral color palette with contrast, take some notes on what they were wearing. The youngest daughter was in a black dress which really tied everything together and added balance, since many of the other family members were wearing black or dark pants.

We had to kill some time waiting for the whole family to be at the this shoot, so we ended up with a huge gallery. Luckily I didn’t have another shoot lined up after them. It’s really important to find a photographer that can keep a positive attitude no matter what the circumstances end up being.
