I’ve learned so much about photography over the last ten years, but posing and creating variety in a gallery was one of the hardest things for me to learn! Here is my thought process now which has really improved number of images I’m able to deliver to my clients.
With each pose or action I have them doing, I make sure to get:
- A full body shot of them looking at the camera, looking at each other, and then one of him looking at her or vice versa
- Close up shot of them looking at the camera, looking at each other and then one of him looking at her or vice versa
- Detail shots
- Then I change my angle by walking around them and grab several other photographs from different points of view
If you do the math, with each pose, you can have at least 10 totally different looking pictures. With this method, I never run out of things to do, my mind never goes blank, and I love the end result!
