What to wear for Family Pictures
When considering what to wear for your family photos, I always tell moms the same advice. Start with what you’re wearing first. You will be the one enjoying these pictures the most, and most of the family members are going to the shoot just because you want them to. You are likely most critical of yourself, and if you don’t like the way you look, then you likely wont ever do anything with your pictures.

I love the way dresses look because they are flattering on every figure and really add a lot of movement to the photos when you’re walking, or if the wind is blowing.
The mom in this Utah Family Photography session in downtown Salt Lake City chose a subtle pattern which photographed really well. Subtle patterns (meaning small and not distracting) allow all the attention to be on the expressions and faces of the family members, just the way I like it.
