Posing and What-To-wear-tips, and a peek at some of my latest work
This is one of my favorite sessions to date. Â Love this new location (new to me at least), and love photographing this family.
I found an awesome spot for winter sessions since Tibblefork is closed this year. Â I love winter sessions, they are a little bit different from the usual Fall sessions. Â If you dress warm enough, they are a really fun time.
As summer comes to a close, I thought I’d end with a personal post for those of you that don’t know me. My name is Lexi, I’m a 35 yr old, mom of four, photographer, and as of June of this year I’d never ridden in an RV. Â My kids were insanely jealous of my […]
It can be stressful coordinating schedules for extended family photos, but they are so worth it.  What a treasure for Grandma and Grandpa to have a picture with all their kids and grandkids together.  I was lucky the rain decided to let up the minute I met this family in the parking lot and that they […]
It was a privilege to spend some time with this family.  I’ve added pre-shoot consult forms to my business this year and it’s been really helpful for me to make sure I get the images my clients want while shooting, not to mention it’s a time-saver too.  This client wanted to remember the fun she and […]
The last few years we’ve gone to Provo for the Balloon Festival which is part of the freedom festival. We somehow luck out and only go on the days that the balloons are allowed to take off (knock on wood).  It’s so memorable for the kids it makes getting up at 5am worth it.  Here is […]
This is one of my favorite places to be and also to shoot.  These wild poppies are almost incredible as the pioneer woman that planted them.
All the green in additional to the snow capped mountains makes this place pretty magical. Â I like taking photos for big families, which is pretty uncommon for photographers. Â It’s fun because there is always something going on, always a moment to capture. Â Here is my latest….
Are your kids always in the mood for you to take pictures? Ya, mine aren’t either! So here are a few tips for getting good pictures when your kid just isn’t in the mood. This is what I do for my own kids (but not for clients, because I will do whatever it takes to […]
The light in this newborn/family session was pretty amazing. What better place to have newborn pictures taken than in your own home.
I would love to do more hospital family sessions!  This one was SO fun.  It’s a great time to photograph the new family before the stress of real-life sets in at home, and having all the bonding between baby and family captured will be a treasure for years to come.
These photos were a mother’s day gift for “mom”. Â If you need ideas for mothers day, this is something every mother would love. May is just around the corner.
The weather has been teasing us with small doses of spring. Â We went to the park to take advantage.
The busy season is over, and it’s time to give my blog a little TLC. Â Check out this session of a mom and tot at two of my favorite spots up the canyon.Â
Do you have a big family?  Well then, I want to take your pictures. I love sessions with large families which is pretty unique for most photographers. There are so many things going on so there’s always something to document. Check out one of  my latest with this family of eight.
Here’s a taste of my last large family photo session. I love all the layers and texture in their outfits.
I’m a family photographer, but when one of your best friends has a daughter getting married, you make an exception. Â The nature-setting was perfect for this beautiful bride-to-be.
If you don’t mind a somewhat difficult hike, Lake Blanche is worth the trip.  My hubbs and I took half of a day to do this hike.  It was no problem for him, but there may have been a lot of huffing and puffing from me. The the view at the top was spectacular.
Aspens, mountain views, wild flowers and a ton of green makes this one of my new favorite spots.  It was gorgeous this spring, and I can’t wait to go there when the leaves start changing.  It’s never too early to start booking for those busy fall photography months. Scroll down to see a newly engaged couple in […]
This kid is someone to look up to in more ways than one. It was hard to get all of him in the frame as I believe he’s about 6’6″!  I couldn’t help myself at the end of the shoot putting him next to a tree:)  I love that pic.  I got to know Braden a few years […]
Here is one of my latest family sessions. A beautiful family, sun-lit trees, and a lilac bush.
When I first got into photography, I avoided harsh light pretty much all the time. Â It’s a safe way to learn, but I decided I think I know enough to start breaking the rules. Â So I just recently decided to get outside my comfort zone and start experimenting with harsh-light. Â I haven’t loved all of […]
A little while ago I headed to a nearby Christmas Tree farm about three hours before sunset. It wasn’t my favorite time of day, but it was the ONLY time of day that worked. At least there was a bit of cloud cover which helped. So here’s to a balmy late-November photoshoot in Utah, with […]
It’s fall and that means it’s family photo time. In an effort to catch up, here is a little glimpse of what I’ve been “shooting” this summer.
These is my new favorite location I just discovered this year. I love the trail, and the lush green background which is hard to come by in this dry climate. It’ll likely start to dry out at the end of the summer, but its just beautiful in May and June. Here are some from one […]
